The County Livestock Barn will be a busy place this coming weekend and early the following week as the 2008 edition of the Comanche County Livestock Show takes place.

DeLeon schools will be closed on Monday, January 14, as more than 60 students will be taking part in the judging along with around 100 of their show animals.

Saturday’s show begins at 9:00 a.m. with the breeding animals show. The order will be sheep, Angora goats, meat goats and heifers. Market steers will conclude Saturday’s judging.

On Monday, the show begins at 8:00 a.m. with market animals featured. Market swine will lead, followed in turn by lambs and goats. The horse show will conclude the day’s judging.

Tuesday evening the premium sale will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the County Livestock Barn. The public is invited to all show events.
