Beth Riggs and three others missed picking two games last week, and they were the best showing among our panel of pigskin contestants. Riggs beat out last week's winner, Brad Sanders, and Kelly Moore and Don Carruth on the tiebreaker, and thus won the $50 weekly prize.

The triple loss contestants who came close included Rocky Atchley, Lana Coker, Lorrie Dyson Couch, Bill Burns, Alan Sadberry, Steve Baker, Billy Warren, Nicole Davis, Carolyn Frasier and Todd Morris.

The largest number of contestants missed five games.

Our contestants could only manage an average 69% correct score, good for a paltry "D+" grade.

The game missed most often, by 90% of our panel, was Howard Payne's victory over Hardin Simmons. Two thirds of our panel also missed on two other games, Missouri's win over Texas Tech and Santo's victory over Cross Plains. West Texas A&M's win over Abilene Christian and Dublin's defeat of Rio Vista also threw losses to more than half of our panel.

Stephenville's win over Cleburne was predicted by 98% of our panel, and almost as many joined in predicting Texas' win over Baylor and Cisco's victory against Eastland. Meridian defeating Evant and Breckenridge's prevailing over Comanche were also correctly predicted by more than 90% of our pickers, as was Tarleton's victory over East New Mexico.

Week #8 may provide a little easier time for our panel, but with football, and particularly college football this year, it seems that no pick is a safe pick. Good luck!
