VANDALS. The DeLeon Cemetery was the target of vandals recently when numerous tombstones were overturned and broken sometime during the weekend of November 4 and 5. Lipstick was used to apply graffiti and profanity to other tombstones, which DeLeon City employees say is difficult to remove. Although there is a dusk to dawn curfew for the cemetery, DeLeon police officers believe the vandalism occurred at night. An investigation is underway.

"CONGRATULATIONS!" Thomas Ray Keith, on the left, interrupts Jimmy Dale Johnson's phone call to offer his congratulations after the final election results for Commissioner, Precinct 4, were posted last Tuesday evening, November 7. Full election results are in the printed Free Press.
