The summer league baseball and softball
seasons have just about come to a close as only a few regular season
games are left to be played.
At this time, there are four and possibly
five DeLeon teams that will go on to play in TTAB (Texas Teenage
Association of Baseball) and TTAS (Texas Teenage Association of
Softball) district tournaments over the next two weeks with the
possibility of moving on to state tournaments.

BRINGING

the TTAB nine and under district tournament. |
There are three softball teams that have
qualified for district tournaments that will be played during the next
week.
The DeLeon Slammers will be participating
in the 10 and under TTAS district tournament that will be hosted here
in DeLeon. The teams they will be competing with are the Gorman
Predators, Hawley Diamonds, Hawley Starz, Cisco Crush, Comanche Crush,
Eastland T-Shirt Express and the Eastland Angels.
The DeLeon Fry Girlz will be competing in
the 12 and under TTAS district tournament that is being hosted by
Early. The teams they will be competing against are the Early Rage,
Goldthwaite, Hico Lady Tigers, Brownwood Lady Bears, Grand Slammers,
Comanche Kiwanis and the Cross Plains Hot Shots.
The DeLeon Johnston team will be
competing in the 15 and under TTAS district tournament that is being
hosted in Brownwood. The teams they will be competing with are Early,
Brownwood Blast, Goldthwaite, Comanche Stars and the Hico Lady Tigers.
The DeLeon Sluggers have secured first
place in the Tri-County 12 and under boys division. With this first
place finish, they have qualified to participate in the TTAB district
tournament that is being hosted here in DeLeon the week of July 10.
The Sun City Sluggers have a chance this
Thursday to secure a spot in the nine and under TTAB district
tournament that is to be played in Ranger. If they are able to defeat
the Dublin Desperados on Thursday, they will advance on to the
district tournament.
The Sun City Sluggers and the Dublin
Desperados will face off for the final district tournament position on
Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Comanche Park. |
