JUST MILLING AROUND. Contractors working under the direction of the Texas Department of Transportation were busy on Monday, May 15, running a pavement milling machine (the track driven machine in the background with a conveyor belt) up and down main (Texas) street downtown. Two inches of old pavement were removed and hauled away as preparations are made for the laying of new pavement as one of the final steps in TxDOT’s downtown street and sidewalks renovations.
