On April 12, 2006 The Comanche County Sheriff's Office arrested Johnny Fred Bachman, 40, of Comanche, for Illegal Dumping, a State Jail Felony.

On April 06, 2006 Sheriff Jeff Lambert received information from a citizen who advised that someone had dumped trash on their relative's property located near the Indian Creek Cemetery on County Road 310A outside of Comanche.

After an investigation by Deputies, Comanche County Precinct 2 Commissioner and employees loaded the trash and weighed it. The trash, which consisted of the remnants of an old house that had been torn down, had a total weight of 10,080 pounds. According to State law disposing of trash or solid waste illegally with a weight of 1,000 pounds or more is a State Jail Felony with a sentence up to 2 years in State Jail and a fine up to $10,000. Currently there is an outstanding warrant that has been issued for a second person who assisted Bachman in this illegal activity.
